Supported Accommodation & Homelessness Services Shoalhaven Illawarra (SAHSSI) is a not-for-profit supporting vulnerable women and families across the Illawarra and Shoalhaven regions. Like many frontline organisations, SAHSSI faced increasing emotional demands, exposure to trauma, and workforce burnout, prompting the need for a proactive approach to psychosocial risk management.
To meet their legal obligations under WHS legislation and create a mentally healthy workplace, SAHSSI partnered with us to roll out a tailored psychosocial risk management program. This included a customised hazard identification process, psychosocial hazard training, risk assessments, and the implementation of control measures, all aligned with Safe Work NSW guidelines.
The outcome? SAHSSI now has a stronger, safer workplace culture with reduced psychosocial risks, improved employee engagement, and a sustainable strategy for ongoing mental health and wellbeing.
